'Painting' taillights

Postby admin » Sun May 03, 2009 8:20 pm

One of the many projects I'm working on is the Fujimi Lambourghini Italian Police car. The taillights and also the front and rear grilles are clear so instead of painting I decided to grab some markers I had lying around and give them a try. To my surprise they turned out great!! I have the BIC Mark-It line of permanent markers and they cover well and look awesome. I did go over them a couple of times but that was more obsessive than actual necessity. I also did some tests with a couple of Sharpies that I have and I did notice that the different brands did have a bit of a different tint to them so I suppose you could use that to your advantage in certain situations. We're still trying to get a light box setup but I will try to get a couple of pictures taken in the next couple of days and post them here so you can see the results.
