SMAS Scale Modellers Association of Saskatoon - Home
Last updated on August 16, 2008

Welcome!!

This is the virtual home of the Scale Modellers Association of Saskatoon or SMAS. We are a chapter of the International Plastic Modellers Society (IPMS) of Canada. Aside from all the fancy-schmancy letters and designations we are simply a group of men, women (well, actually we don't have any women members right now but if you're out there, come on down), teenagers, and children who love building plastic models and enjoy getting together with each other to share this wonderful hobby.

Thanks to Greg we now have the opportunity to display our models in the Langham museum. If you have anything you would like to put out on display for awhile just contact Greg.

September will be our next theme night.

The 2 themes will be: 'Canadian Content' and 'Spaghetti Speziale'. No, that doesn't mean food-related, it's actually referring to any Italian subjects. Don't forget that every theme-related kit on the display table that night earns you a ticket for the prize draw.

The club meets on the first Wednesday of each month at the Parkridge Centre, 110 Gropper Crescent in Saskatoon.

Next Meeting: September 3, 2008

The meetings officially begin at 7:00 pm, starting with approximately one hour of building and socializing before moving on to actual club business.

I've finally managed to get the 2004 and 2005 back issues of the newsletter uploaded so check those out on the newsletter page. I've also posted some pictures from Bridgecon 2007 on the Bridgecon page.

As always, I appreciate any feedback you have on the changes or the site in general.
