The Contest
The contest is open to all people attending the show (as part of their admission
cost) and also to participants in the main show. There is no extra fee
required to enter the contest
Entries will be accepted for registration from the show opening on Friday morning
until 10:00am Saturday morning. Because each model is judged on its own merits
and not by comparison to other entries, entrants are encouraged to register on
Friday so that judging may be done in a timely manner. Entries will be judged
as soon as possible after registration to eliminate any concerns about dust,
etc. affecting the presentation
Awards will be announced between 6pm and 8pm on Saturday evening. Models will
not be removed before 8:00pm Saturday evening. When each entry is registered
the entrant will receive a claim stub with the entry number. That claim
stub must be presented to the contest officials before any model is removed.
If a model cannot be removed at the designated time arrangements can be made
with SMAS for safe-keeping provided the entrant has a suitable container.
All models are displayed in the show at the entrant's risk. Every effort will
be made by the organizers to safeguard the models during the show but neither
the Draggins Rod & Custom Car Club nor the Scale Modellers Association of
Saskatoon will accept any liability for any loss or damage however caused.
